Caliente
Caliente is an automated content migration solution. Content and metadata can be consistently imported from a variety of sources, including hot folders, databases, eRoom, and flat files. Both content and metadata are then automatically migrated to your ECM repository. For example, with Caliente, you can designate certain folders on the file system as hot folders. Caliente monitors each hot folder and performs the appropriate task on content as it arrives. Users can now simply drag and drop files into local folders to insert them into the repository, eliminating the need to learn an extensive ECM interface.

What is Caliente?

At its core, Caliente provides simple file system-based workflows which contain tasks that interact with different repositories. The most popular application of Caliente enables the automatic import of content and metadata. Caliente also provides a framework for extension and customization to add tasks that may include interaction with other systems in addition to EMC Documentum. Thus, Caliente provides an open and versatile foundation for building custom integrations with EMC Documentum, SharePoint and Alfresco.
