SCIO follows the content management deployment lifecycle and takes the complexity out of your deployments. Strategy

Our staff helps companies develop strategies to implement content solutions that show recognized return on investment and cost savings. We have then taken these strategies and/or strategies developed by others to develop deployment plans that leverage the available resources to maximize your return on investment quickly and with the least affect on your organization. Our work in transportation, retail, high-tech manufacturing, and the utilities industries has resulted in significant effects on the client's bottom line.

We start with Content Management Strategy and Governance, which looks to define the factors that cause the creation and consumption of content, develop real metrics as to the costs to create, maintain, and consume content, and identify the effect that content has on the organization. We use this information to define categories of content authoring, creation and consumption and develop a guideline used to measure effectiveness of content.

Once the content solutions are identified, we focus on the technical and business requirements to achieve the organization's goals. We derive the future state requirements and review and document the current state to develop the gaps that exist in the requirements of people, processes, and technology. We identify what will be required to bridge that gap and how best to do this with the least affect on daily operations. A plan is then developed that shows the best way to implement the solutions with the resources available and the highest success ratio.

Coordination

Solutions that affect more than one business unit or that are deployed in unison require an extra level of control. It is through the coordination of projects, resources, and timelines that you can be successful in aggressive or complex deployments. Our staff has managed complex deployments and in some cases been called in to recover at risk deployments.

Our Program Management monitors and tracks simultaneous projects and works to ensure that resources are properly leveraged across your projects and identifies risks before they can have a major affect on current or future projects. The Enterprise Architect looks to ensure that the technology continues to be deployed such that it is best leveraged to support the organization's requirements and growth. We provide these two roles, which allow your organization to not only meet the expected goals of the current implementation, but also best leverage the technology in ways that promote ease of future deployments.

Implementation

Our prior experience tied together with our methodology allows us to offer our customers fixed price projects and drives our implementation strategy. Project Management is integral to the success of your projects. Our Project Managers work as active members of your project teams, managing the dynamic nature of the team's plan and budget, guarding the scope, resolving risks and issues, and facilitating internal and external team communication. We offer an internal project progress and quality review process as a value add service on all projects to ensure optimal value and success for your stakeholders.

During implementation, solutions design is performed using a standard template, which allows us to bring new team members up to speed quickly. Coding is done based on a defined standard ensuring that code is consistent, easy to understand and managed in our own source code management system, C3, guaranteeing code integrity. We have experience implementing various types of solutions including collaboration, web publishing, document management, workflow, digital asset management, case management, and compliance. Therefore, we have the right combination of resources to create solutions you need.

Operation

We recognize that we have two types of clients, those that look to maintain and support their solution internally and those that want a turn-key solution. We also understand that while your organization may want to follow one approach today, that it may change in the future. We will to work with you to make sure that your organization is enabled to maintain their content management solution. Our staff has worked with organizations around the world to provide training, support and migration services.

In addition to the training that is part of our custom solutions, we provide training on the use of content management applications, content management strategy, and systems administration. In addition to the technical support available for our custom solutions, for those organizations looking for a supported solution, we offer system administration management and support. And when it's time to upgrade or migrate to a new content management solution, we bring the knowledge and experience to make the efforts look easy.
