Armedia Director of Technology Recognized for Contribution to the EMC Community

Armedia LLC, an EMC ECD Affiliate Elite Partner is proud to announce that Scott Roth, Director of Technology, has been named to the 2015 EMC Elect.

The EMC Elect is the premier program at EMC in recognition of its advocates. The program is a community-driven recognition and thank you for an individual’s contribution to the EMC Community Network. This year, the top 102 EMC Elect were chosen from 200 finalists and over 450 original nominations.

“It is a tremendous honor to have been nominated and elected into this prestigious group for a second time. It is humbling to be counted among the experts in this group whom I also turn to for industry and technical insights. Thank you, and congratulations to all of my elected colleagues. I am excited about the work and opportunities for us in the year ahead.”

For Roth, this marks the second time in the awards three-year history that he has been named to the prestigious list. Individuals are named to the list for three reasons:

  • Regular engagement on the EMC Community Network
  • Great conversations on Twitter
  • Strong technical presence via blogs and in-person speaking events.

Scales were applied to each area the nominees were judged on, and then judges spent hours reading through blogs, Twitter streams, and EMC Community Network threads. Nominees were judged on:

  • Volume
  • Frequency
  • Relevance (both to the IT industry as a whole, and to EMC specifically)
  • Technical Merit
  • Quality

“We are extremely proud of Scott’s achievement,” said James Bailey, president of Armedia. “His wealth of knowledge and expertise provides an extremely valuable resource to the Armedia team, and his genuine passion in his work exemplifies the self-driven nature inherent in the Armedia brand.”
